Beware of Housing Scams

If you book through these sites, you run the risk of arriving and not having a hotel room. Make sure you are starting from an apha.org or jspargo.com web page when you begin your housing process. Never book from an email that does not come from an apha.org or spargoinc.com email address. |
Travel
The 2025 Annual Meeting and Expo will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, DC 20001. APHA is utilizing the whole convention center. For those arriving by APHA’s shuttle service you will be dropped off the L Street Entrance between the two buildings.
Airport Information: DC is served by three major airports; Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). APHA suggests exploring more about the airports to determine which might be the best fit for you. View travel discount codes.
Parking at the MCC: There are multiple parking garages located around the Convention Center with hourly and daily rates. The Convention Center does not have it’s own parking garage.
By Metro: The Convention Center sits atop the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station served by Metro's Green and Yellow lines. Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5 minute walk from the Convention Center.
By Foot: You’ll quickly find that DC is one of the most walkable and bikeable cities in the nation.
By Shuttle: APHA provides a shuttle to and from hotels that are located more than half a mile from the center. View the routes and services.
International Travel: There are several steps to apply for a visa. Visit the U.S. Department of State website for more information. Letters of invitation can be generated through the registration system using your registration ID.
Note: If a visa application is denied, please provide documentation to APHA confirming the denial. APHA will refund the registration fees in full upon receipt of documentation. After the Sept. 23 cancellation deadline, no refunds will be issued.
