Building Stronger Partnerships

Partnership handshake

Public health doesn’t happen in isolation.

It grows through building relationships, strengthening trust and working toward shared goals. That’s why strong partnerships are at the heart of meaningful public health work, bringing together community members, advocates and partners across different fields. This work reflects one of the 10 Essential Public Health Services: strengthening, supporting and mobilizing communities and partnerships.

At APHA, we are working alongside community-based organizations and cross-sector partners, sharing power, aligning efforts and moving toward common goals. Together, we are building approaches that are more responsive, more inclusive and more effective, grounded in listening, showing up and strengthening connections over time.
