New opportunities are available for groups planning events during APHA's Annual Meeting. Reserve a space at the headquarter properties or promote your offsite event to APHA attendees. Take advantage of the new lunch timeslot, additional marketing opportunities and a more comprehensive pricing package. Space is limited!

Headquarter Properties: All APHA sessions and events will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center or the Hilton Minneapolis. When booking through APHA you can select one of these properties, making it easy for your guests to travel from sessions directly to your event.

Affiliate events may only be held in the timeslots listed below. Requests for times not listed will be approved at the discretion of the event operations team and may incur an additional cost.

  • 1-6 p.m. (Saturday event)

Sunday, Oct. 27

  • 8-10:30 a.m. (morning event)
  • 6:30-10 p.m. (evening event)

Monday, Oct. 28

  • 7-8 a.m. (morning event)
  • 12:30-2 p.m. (lunch hour) - Note: conflicts with APHA Awards Ceremony
  • 6:30-9 p.m. (evening reception/business meeting)

Tuesday, Oct. 29

  • 7-8 a.m. (morning event)
  • 12:30-2 p.m. (lunch hour )
  • 6:30-9 p.m. (evening event)

Wednesday, Oct. 30

  • 7-8 a.m. (morning event)


Pricing includes LCD screen, projector, laptop, podium microphone, listing with description and link in digital program, and general promotion of all hosted events in attendee newsletters. Note: pricing does not change if group does not require the items listed above.

Additional equipment, labor and food/beverage will be at the expense of the host organization.

  • Saturday Event - $650 charged at two hour increments
  • Morning Event - $575
  • Lunch Hour - $575
  • Sunday Afternoon - $575
  • Evening Event - $625

Event package
Put your event front and center. This upgraded package includes room rental and one marketing email on your behalf to attendees. Emails will be sent two to three weeks before the event and are scheduled at the discretion of APHA. Upgrades are available until Sept. 20. You may select this option on the reservation form.

General Policies:

  • Organizations agree to abide by all operational policies and procedures that guide the Annual Meeting. Read our Annual Meeting Policies
  • Parnter and univesrity events may only be held in the timeslots listed above.
  • Organizations may not hold independent scientific sessions at APHA's Annual Meeting.
  • Requests are dependent on availability and are not guaranteed.
  • APHA reserves the right to make schedule changes. Please do not publish the location of your event(s) until after Sept. 15.

Registration Policies
All guests attending affiliate events taking place between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center or the Hilton Hotel must have an official Annual Meeting badge. If you would like to invite guests or staff not registered for the meeting, please contact Natalie.koo@apha.org by Sept. 1 for special registration instructions. Requests received after Sept. 1 may not be accommodated. 

If your event is taking place after hours a badge is not required. However, your guests should be able to present an official invitation email to your event that includes the event title, date, time and location. This is to ensure security and APHA can properly assist your guests.
