Getting There and Getting Around

Georgia World Congress Center – 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA, 30313

The GWCC is just 10.3 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and conveniently located near many of the hotels in APHA’s hotel block. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, GWCC is steps from Centennial Olympic Park, state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium (home to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United), Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, and the Atlanta Hawks’ recently renovated nest, State Farm Arena.

APHA is utilizing Buildings A & B. For those arriving by APHA’s shuttle service or taxi cab, enter through Building B, which is home to APHA’s registration, housing and information desks and the public health expo. If entering through a different entrance or from the Omni Atlanta Hotel, make your way to Building B and Registration Hall.

Airport
Atlanta is serviced by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, just over 10 miles from the GWCC. Visit the airport’s website for more information about accessible travel.

Public Transportation (MARTA)
The GWCC is MARTA accessible at two stations. GWCC/CNN Center Station is on the Blue and Green Line. There is no parking and no bus service. This underground station serves the busy sports and convention industry, as well as being a convenient access point to downtown’s numerous tourist attractions. MARTA is fully accessible. Parking at the GWCC
There are several parking options within a short walk of the GWCC. The preferred parking option is the Red Deck at 103 Mangum Street. Visitors can learn more and pre-purchase parking spots on the GWCC website.

Event Shuttle
Shuttle transportation will be provided to hotels outside of approximately 1-mile radius from the GWCC. View the shuttle routes (PDF). 

Special Event Transportation
Monday, Nov. 13, 6-9:30 p.m.
Shuttle service will be provided to the Georgia Aquarium to/from select APHA shuttle locations. Return service will be provided at the conclusion of the event with final departure no later than 9:30 p.m.

Accessible Transportation
Wheelchair accessible van transportation to and from the GWCC to APHA-approved hotels can be scheduled upon request. Those who indicated a mobility concern during registration will be sent special instructions on how to schedule transportation in advance of the meeting. Onsite, visit the shuttle transportation booth to make arrangements.
