Advocate and influence
APHA empowers its members to advocate for public health policies and speak out about issues that matter to everyone. How to plug into APHA’s advocacy efforts:
- Complete your member profile. Providing demographics in our secure member database helps APHA effectively advocate for everyone in public health.
- Keep up with the monthly Legislative Update member-only email newsletter.
- Send frequent advocacy action alerts. APHA pre-populates urgent email messaging to send to legislators.
- Take advantage of advocacy training, online resources and partnership opportunities through numerous APHA initiatives, including the Alliance for Public Health, Center for Public Health Policy and Center for Climate, Health and Equity.
