CDC National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) Reverse Site Visit
The 2026 NVDRS Reverse Site Visit will take place May 12–15, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia. This annual convening brings together NVDRS recipients, partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, and support the continued implementation and advancement of the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) across the United States.
The meeting will include an overview of the NVDRS data collection system, presentations from state Violent Death Reporting System (VDRS) teams, and discussions on working effectively with data providers. Participants will also share success stories, explore best practices, and discuss innovative approaches to strengthening injury and violence prevention efforts. 2026 NVDRS New Investigator Research Award
In partnership with CDC, we are currently accepting applications for the 2026 cycle of the National Violent Death Reporting System New Investigator Research Award. This opportunity is geared toward emerging researchers/investigators to promote innovative and quality analysis of violent death data collected by the NVDRS. Read more about NVDRS.
Award:
If selected, you will receive up to a $5,000 stipend to support your analysis and manuscript development.

The application deadline is March 16, 2026.
