APHA Affiliate Climate and Health Community of Practice

APHA’s Center for Climate, Health and Equity’s Climate and Health Community of Practice (CoP) brings together APHA Affiliates working on or interested in climate and health. The CoP provides a space for Affiliates to share lessons and best practices, discuss common challenges, and identify opportunities for collaboration, with meetings featuring guest speakers and opportunities for regional discussion.

Eligibility:

This Community of Practice is currently open only to staff and representatives of APHA’s State & Regional Public Health Associations (APHA Affiliates). If you are not affiliated with one of the organizations listed, you are not eligible to participate at this time.

Participation in the Community of Practice includes:

  • Quarterly meetings that feature a guest speaker and time for regional breakout discussions.

  • Peer learning and exchange to share experiences, resources, lessons learned and best practices related to climate and health.

  • Collaborative problem-solving around common climate and health challenges facing Affiliates and their communities.

  • Opportunities for collaboration among State and Regional Public Health Association Affiliates.

  • Active participation in discussions and activities that help advance equitable climate and health solutions.
