From top: Africa Stewart, president of Doctors Without Borders, accepts the Fries Prize For Improving Health from Judith Monroe, president and CEO of the CDC Foundation, and Greg Fries. This marks the first time the prize has been awarded to an organization rather than an individual. Doctors Without Borders was recognized "for its lifesaving impact on the health of people across the world," according to a CDC Foundation statement. In the second photo, protesters march from the Pennsylvania Convention Center to decry family separations and anti-immigrant practices. Smiling Annual Meeting attendees are happy to be here. And on the last day of the Public Health Expo, Maeve Lynch demonstrates what a public health hero looks like at APHA's Get Ready booth.
