The Ignite the Spark Scholars Program National Convening brings together researchers, community advocates, policymakers, and cross-sector leaders from across the U.S. for two days of equity-centered dialogue and action.

The 2026 convening, “Igniting Voices, Sparking Action: Advancing Equity-Centered Public Health Research & Practice,” focuses on structural racism research, community-engaged measurement, cross-sector collaboration, and translating scholarship into actionable policy and practice.

Through keynote presentations, scholar panels, and interactive workshops, participants will explore:

1. Co-creating structural racism measures with communities

2. Translating equity research into policy and public-facing impact

3. Sustaining antiracism efforts amid shifting political and funding landscapes

4. Building authentic, cross-sector partnerships to advance health equity

This hybrid event will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a virtual participation option via Zoom.
