Lara Hicks is an Impact Specialist at Protect Democracy. She supports Protect Democracy’s constituency engagement projects with a focus on youth and Gen Z, and works to equip pro-democracy civil society actors with the resources they need to remain resilient in the face of autocratic attacks. Before joining Protect Democracy, Lara served as an Executive Assistant and Assistant United Nations Representative for a human rights NGO in New York City. She received a Master’s in Public Administration and graduated as a University Scholar with B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University.
