- Organizing Team Coordinator, Defend Public Health
Lacey Connelly
Lacey Connelly (she/her) is a community organizer, leadership coach, and trainer who helps people discover their power and tell the stories that move others to action. Born and raised in West Virginia, she has spent the last two decades organizing for change, from her first political campaign as a high school junior to serving as Director of the West Virginia Democratic House Caucus. For the past four years, she has taught Organizing and Public Narrative with Marshall Ganz at Harvard's Kennedy School, coaching hundreds of organizers, from college students to global changemakers. Today, she supports organizations and activists building people power on the ground, including the members of Defend Public Health. Her work is guided by the belief that the people closest to the problem are best suited to define the solution, and they deserve the tools, confidence, and community to lead the change.
