Elisabeth Hartner, MPH

Elisabeth Hartner became the Executive Director of the Oregon Public Health Association in the fall of 2023, bringing a deep commitment to advancing health equity and community wellbeing. With extensive experience implementing health initiatives across Oregon, including in rural areas, Elisabeth has worked in both community-level and state-wide organizations, as well as in local government. A strong advocate and supporter of social justice, she champions and advocates for policies and programs that create equitable health outcomes for all. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western Washington University and a Master of Public Health in Global Maternal and Child Health from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Elisabeth enjoys kayaking, hiking, and exploring Oregon’s coastline. She lives in Portland with her beloved dog, Pancha.
