Athina Amanor is a third-year medical student at Howard University College of Medicine and aspiring OB/GYN whose journey to medicine is rooted in legacy, family, and advocacy. Throughout medical school, Athina has been drawn to the breadth and complexity of women’s health, from anatomy lab to clinical simulation. Today, Athina is committed to becoming a physician who practices not only evidence-based care but also courage-based care, serving women and families in under-resourced and legally restrictive environments.
