Nandi Marshall, DrPH, MPH, CHES, CLC, CDE
Dr. Nandi Marshall, DrPH, MPH, CHES, CLC, CDE is a community-engaged scholar and public health leader with over 20 years of experience advancing maternal and child health equity and developing the next generation of public health professionals. She serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University’s Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health.
A Certified Health Education Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Certified Diversity Executive, Dr. Marshall leads and supports numerous national and state-level initiatives, including leadership roles with the American Public Health Association, the United States Breastfeeding Committee, and the Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition.
Her research and community work focus on health equity, breastfeeding support, and youth substance use prevention. She has led and contributed to federally and state-funded grants—including a CDC REACH grant and a $3.25 million HRSA award—and published widely on maternal health and health disparities.
Dr. Marshall is a proud alumna of Spelman College, East Stroudsburg University, and Georgia Southern University, and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also a devoted wife and mother of two.
