Ndidi Amutah-Onukagha, MPH, PhD

Dr. Ndidiamaka Amutah-Onukagha is the Julia A. Okoro Professor of Black Maternal Health at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she also serves as the inaugural Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Public Health and Professional Degree Programs. She is the Founder and Director of the Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice and the MOTHER Lab, as well as the founder of the nation’s largest annual Black maternal health conference. Her research focuses on maternal health disparities, reproductive justice, and HIV/AIDS among Black women, with over 85 publications and recognition in major outlets including The Lancet, MSNBC, and The New York Times. A nationally recognized leader, Dr. Amutah-Onukagha holds federal and international appointments, including on the HHS Advisory Council on Infant and Maternal Mortality and as the Inaugural Health Equity Think Tank Director for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
