Linda P. Fried is Dean Emerita of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and directs the Butler Columbia Aging Center. She has led our understanding of prevention of disability and frailty in older age, designed the public health model of Experience Corps, and led the NAM Global Roadmap on Healthy Longevity and the ASPPH Healthy Longevity Initiative. She most recently received the ASPPH Welch-Rose Award and the Legion of Honor of France.
