Geoffrey Roth
Geoffrey Roth (Lakota) is an experienced leader and advocate dedicated to advancing Indigenous health equity, policy reform, and self-determination. With over two decades of public health leadership, Geoffrey currently serves as Vice Chair and Expert Member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, specializing in Indigenous determinants of health, restoration of traditional food systems, and ensuring Indigenous representation globally. He is CEO of Cedar Rock Alliance, a consulting firm focused on improving health outcomes for American Indian, Alaska Native, and global Indigenous communities. Previously, Geoffrey held an appointment under the Obama administration, overseeing Affordable Care Act implementation within the Indian Health Service, and later contributed as the Indian Health lead for the Biden-Harris transition team. He chairs the Coquille Indian Tribe’s Executive Health Board, the Indigenous Determinants of Health Alliance, and Capital Native Nations demonstrating his steadfast commitment to Indigenous sovereignty and culturally responsive public health initiatives.
