Get Involved

Are you interested in getting involved with the APHA Student Assembly but aren't sure
 where to start?

Accepting Applications for Campus Liaisons!

The Campus Liaison Committee is a great opportunity to get involved with APHA! Campus Liaisons (CLs) act as representatives of the Student Assembly on their campus, promote public health and encourage peers to get involved.

CLs are responsible for hosting 4 campus events throughout the entire year and requires roughly 2 hours per week. These events can be can be in-person or virtual. Online schools and programs can also have CLs. If you are already part of a public health organization or council on your campus, we encourage you to apply for this position as well!

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. You can apply through our application on APHA LEAD. Access the application here. If have questions or want to learn more about the CL position, please email [email protected] and include your name, contact email, and school.

Short on time?

You can still be more involved in the Student Assembly in these ways:

  • Respond to an advocacy alert.
  • Post field-related information or opportunities on our online community/listserv.
  • Write an article for our News & Events page.
  • Encourage a colleague to join APHA.
  • Review abstracts.
  • Join a committee (advocacy, communication, membership, etc.)
