Evidentiary Review Committee

The function of the Evidentiary Review Committee is to coordinate the evaluation of APHA’s proposed public health policy briefs. The Evidentiary Review Committee is encouraged to collaborate with experts and other relevant entities to enhance the accomplishment of its goals. The Evidentiary Review Committee shall receive, review, hold hearings on proposed policy briefs, and present its recommendations for Governing Council action, as well as make recommendations to the Governing Council for changes in the policy briefs process and update the policy brief author guidelines as required. All 17 Evidentiary Review Committee members represent one of five core areas of public health: behavioral and social sciences, biomedical sciences and clinical practice, environmental and occupational health, epidemiology and statistics, and health management and social policy.
