Want to present at APHA 2020?

Call for Abstracts APHA 2020 Annual Meeting and Expo San FranciscoThere's still time to apply to present your research at the APHA 2020 Annual Meeting and Expo, to be held Oct. 24-28 in San Francisco.

While the official abstract submission deadline was Feb. 20, many APHA member groups have extended the submission window, some to Feb. 24 and some into March. Check out all the details on the Annual Meeting abstract submission page.

APHA’s Annual Meeting is the largest and most influential gathering of public health professionals, with nearly 13,000 attendees coming from around the world to present, learn and find inspiration.

APHA 2020’s theme is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Preventing Violence.” Abstracts related to the meeting's theme are encouraged, but submissions about any public health issue are welcome.

Presentation formats are:

  • Oral sessions — Formal presentations followed by a Q&A segment with the audience.
  • Roundtable sessions — Engaging group discussions led by a single presenter.
  • Poster sessions — One-on-one interactions with attendees, with research and findings presented visually.

Read over the submission instructions before sending in your abstract. Everyone who submits an abstract will receive an email June 1 letting them know the status of their submission.
