APHA’s Annual Meeting is the largest and most influential gathering of public health professionals, with nearly 13,000 attendees coming from around the world to present, learn and find inspiration.

Submit your abstract by Feb. 20 and join us to showcase your work, enhance your CV, get feedback from colleagues and more. As a presenter, you'll be a part of a rewarding experience that can help you advance your public health career.

APHA 2020’s theme is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Preventing Violence.” While abstracts related to the meeting's theme are encouraged, submissions that cover any public health issue are welcome.

Presentation formats include:

  • Oral sessions: Formal presentations followed by a Q&A segment with the audience.
  • Roundtable sessions: Engaging group discussions led by a single presenter.
  • Poster sessions: One-on-one interactions with attendees, with research and findings presented visually.

Before sending in your abstract, read over the submission instructions. You don’t have to be an APHA member to submit! Submitters will receive an email June 1 letting them know whether their abstract has been accepted.
