A public health thank you note

THANK YOU, PUBLIC HEALTH!Today is Public Health Thank You Day! The annual event, led by Research!America, recognizes public health professionals, who work tirelessly every day to make the nation safer and healthier.

Public health professionals are committed to reducing infant mortality, addressing climate change, supporting health equity, tracking infectious outbreaks, preparing for natural disasters and much more.

“Improving the public’s health requires a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week commitment to safer, healthier and stronger communities,” said Georges Benjamin, MD, APHA’s executive director. “To the public health workforce: Thank you not only for what you do, but for the passion, empathy and inclusiveness that you bring to this effort.

Show your appreciation for public health workers today by recognizing colleagues, staff, partners and others for their dedication.

You can also share Public Health Thank You Day messages on social media with the #PHTYD hashtag. Check out Research!America’s toolkit for shareable social media messages.
