Save the date for NPHW social media webinars
Today’s post is by Robert Lotzar, National Public Health Week fellow at the American Public Health Association.
APHA’s National Public Health Week runs April 1-7, and many people, partners and organizations have joined in to create a healthier nation. Social media plays a role in the success of the week, so APHA is putting on two social media webinars to help partners learn how to maximize their audience and reach through social media. Through these webinars, we want to make it easier for you to share and discuss how your NPHW is going!
The webinars will be conducted through live Google Hangouts on YouTube and hosted by Lindsey Wahowiak, APHA director of Affiliate Affairs. The first — NPHW Social Media 101 — will be held Feb. 27 from 2-3 p.m. ET.
Social Media 101 is for those who want to promote NPHW on social media, but aren’t sure how. The webinar will go through the basic steps on how to promote and raise awareness for NPHW through your social media handles. You will learn how to share your own messages about NPHW and engage with other people discussing NPHW. There will be opportunities to ask questions in real time.
NPHW Social Media 201 will take place March 13 from 2-3 p.m. ET. This webinar will include how to raise interest and anticipation for an event, how to build your audience and how to join the NPHW Twitter Chat. Participants will get shareable tools to use for their NPHW efforts. A question-and-answer portion will end the webinar.
From beginners to advanced social media users, everyone can take something away from the webinars. Capitalize on these social media resources and use them to make this the best NPHW yet!
