Description
As people age, they endure new and chronic illnesses and adapt to disabilities and different abilities. We all need age-friendly communities, yet rural communities with higher proportions of older residents see fewer health services and sparse safety nets. Rural communities need to be places that support the vitality and resilience of individuals and households, neighborhoods and locales. Our panel of experts will identify features of age and disability-friendly communities and the application of these features to rural communities.
