Description
The Leadership Summit for Healthy Communities + Youth Edition brings together community coalitions and public health professionals, advocates, and youth to learn best practices, barriers, and policy, systems, and environmental change strategies related to increasing access to healthy food and safe places for physical activities for everyone. This year's Summit focuses on historical and cultural influences that impact perceptions on healthy eating, active living, and health. This annual event is also focusing on the importance of cross-collaboration between community coalitions and youth advocates. Concurrent session topics range from the built environment, food insecurity and access, and diversity, equity, and inclusion to youth engagement, advocacy, and social determinants of health. CHES/MCHES, social worker and registered dietician continuing education credits will be offered.
