Nominations — Solicits nominations for Section leadership. Co-chairs: Kathleen F. Carlson, MS, PhD and Kevin Borrup, DrPH, JD, MPA

Policy — Reviews proposed APHA policies and current polices for archive. Chair: Tawab Saljuqi, DrPH, MPH

Program — Facilitates all activities in support of the ICEHS scientific program for the APHA Annual Meeting. Co-chairs: Larry J. Cook, MStat, PhD, and Jancarlos "JC" Guzman, MPH, and Renee Johnson, PhD, MPH

Susan Goodwin Gerberich Student Paper Award — Facilitates all activities in support of the Section's Student Paper Competition. Co-chairs: Kathleen F. Carlson, MS, PhD and Doug J. Wiebe, PhD

Student Podium and Poster Presentation Awards — Facilitates all activities in support of the Section's Student Presentation Competitions. Chair: Jancarlos "JC" Guzman, MPH

Student Liaison — Works with the APHA Student Assembly to recruit and engage student members. Student Liaison: Lana Tauzhnyanskaya, BS

Student Travel Scholarships — Facilitates all activities in support of the Section's Presidential Road Safety Scholarship and other scholarships supporting student travel to the annual APHA meeting. Co-chairs: Natalie Draisin, MPH, MBA

 

Topical Committees

Emergency Health Services & Disaster Preparedness — Provides a forum for information and idea sharing among colleagues in emergency health services and disaster preparedness. Co-Chair: Norma Quintanilla, MS, PMP, and Teresa Bell, PhD

Sports & Recreational Injury — aims to highlight issues associated with all physical activity-related injuries that may occur across the lifespan. Chair: Brittany Rogers, MPH, BSN-RN
