Can’t stop the APHA dance!
As the last notes of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” rang out in the front entrance of the Georgia World Congress Center last night, public health advocates celebrated not only the dance itself (with super-cute public health moves, such as hand-washing, coughing into a sleeve disguised as a thrown elbow and even some safe driving steps), but a successful first full day of APHA’s 2017 Annual Meeting and Expo.
And yet! As with so many exciting sessions and events throughout the meeting, folks didn’t want the fun to end. Attendees who had just emerged from the Public Health Expo in the lower level of the convention center called for another round of the dance — and dozens more hit the floor for an impromptu get-down.

Still got boogie fever? You can check out two more opportunities to shake your groove thing, with Zumba classes at the APHA Wellness Center on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
