Champion of Change: Healing Communities while addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), overdose, and suicide prevention
Join us for an inspiring session led by three Champions from the Champion of Change Cohort as they train attendees on the Building Bridges Framework—a public health approach that connects the dots between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), overdose, and suicide prevention. This interactive training will explore the critical intersections of trauma, substance use, and mental health, while showcasing how community-driven strategies and Healthy People 2030 objectives are being implemented across the country.
Champion of Change members are passionate public health leaders who work daily to reduce stigma, advocate for evidence-based solutions, and create safer, more supportive environments for children, youth, and adults. Through real-world examples and community insights, this session will highlight their efforts to improve mental health outcomes, reduce overdose deaths, and build trauma-informed systems of care.
Attendees will walk away with practical tools, a deeper understanding of the framework, and an opportunity to learn how they too can become a Champion of Change.
