Public Health Thank You Day

Public Health Thank You Day"Our public health system is the lifeblood of our nation. Those in public health deploy their expertise and commitment each and every day to secure safer, healthier, and stronger communities. On November 22 and always, I encourage Americans to take time to thank the public health workforce for their tireless and essential service in every state, county, city, town and tribal community across the country." -- APHA Executive Director Georges Benjamin, MD

Thank you, public health professionals!

On the Monday before Thanksgiving, APHA, Research!America and leading public health organizations take time to recognize public health professionals who work tirelessly every day to protect the health of all people and all communities.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought newfound attention to the importance of public health and the debt of gratitude we owe to all our public health professionals. We thank you for all you do under even the most trying of circumstances to protect and improve the health of all communities.

Learn how to get involved in Generation Public Health, APHA's movement to create the healthiest nation in one generation.
