Dr. Cynthia Davis Award for Outstanding Community Leadership and Advocacy in HIV/AIDS
The Dr. Cynthia Davis Award for Outstanding Leadership and Advocacy in HIV/AIDS is awarded to a current member of the HIV/AIDS Section who has made outstanding contributions in community driven leadership and advocacy in the field of HIV/AIDS. This award commemorates the legacy of Dr. Cynthia Davis who with nearly four decades of tireless passion, has worked to address the socio-structural barriers of HIV/AIDS among underserved and disenfranchised people of color and communities on local, national and international levels.
Successful candidates will be honored at the APHA Annual Meeting. Please nominate a current member of the HIV/AIDS section who has contributed to community driven leadership and advocacy in the field of HIV/AIDS. Please submit all materials, including letters of recommendation, via email by Oct. 21, 2023.
