HIV/AIDS Section Policy Group:
Having experienced a resurgence in the last two years, our Section has become active once again in HIV-related and other policy matters within APHA. We recently developed a policy statement entitled “Strengthening the National HIV/AIDS Strategy to Achieve an HIV/AIDS Free Generation,” which APHA adopted in 2014. We also help the entire Section respond to requests from APHA to review annual policy submissions and contribute to APHA’s policy archiving efforts.
If you want to contribute your research skills, knowledge and experience to our policy activities, please contact Policy Chair Danielle Campbell and get involved. This is a great way to become active, get to know some people and feel connected to the Section.
