Allison R. Casola, MPH, CHES, has been an active member of APHA since 2014. She has served as a campus liaison at West Chester University (2014-15), the Mid-Atlantic and New England regional student liaison (2015-16), and the campus liaison co-chair in 2016. Allison was elected Student Assembly chair-elect in 2017; serving as a member of the Inter-Sectional Council Steering Committee, in addition to other Student Assembly and APHA-wide committees and workgroups. As chair of the Student Assembly, Allison plans to expand student engagement efforts, highlight leadership pathways, and ultimately inspire the next generation of public health professionals and APHA leaders.

Allison is a fourth-year PhD epidemiology candidate at the Temple University College of Public Health. She received a Master of Public Health degree, with a concentration in Community Health, from West Chester University (2015) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Millersville University (2013). Allison’s research focuses on the psychosocial correlates associated with contraceptive use and sexual and reproductive health outcomes among adolescent and young adult populations.
