Ex-Officio Member, Intersectional Council Chair
Tom Doker grew up in Georgia and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia; he graduated from the University of Georgia School Of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1990. In June 2009, he completed a Master of Public Health Degree from the Georgia State University School of Public Health, Atlanta, Georgia.
Doker is board-certified in Veterinary Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology and was an Epidemic Intelligence Service fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, he has been Chair and Program Chair of the One Health SPIG (previously known as the Veterinary Public Health SPIG) as well as a Governing Council representative and is now serving as the Intersectional Council Chair. He has served as a Public Health Officer in the U.S. Air Force for the past 16 years.
