Public health responds to Gulf Coast oil spill, resources available

 The tragedy that continues to unfold along the Gulf Coast from the oil spill will have long-lasting environmental and public health implications. A number of APHA members are active in leading response efforts to minimize the disaster’s impact and working hard to insure that workers are being properly trained and adequately protected as they clean up the oil spill on the coast. APHA has identified a range of resources related to health concerns and the public health response, and will continue to monitor the situation for the latest information.
