2004 National Public Health Week

Throughout the week, APHA will highlight on-the-ground examples of local projects using community projects/interventions to reverse the trends in health disparities. In addition to promoting community-based success stories, APHA also will use NPHW to offer health professionals, the private and public sector and communities projects/interventions to help in the battle to eliminate all types of health disparities including but not limited to

• Ethnic and racial,
• Geographical,
• Disease specific,
• Community infrastructure and resources
• Environmental justice,
• Health literacy,
• Workforce diversity in the health care system
• Age,
• Gender, and
• Sexual Orientation

Together, we can take a big leap forward in ending health disparities wherever they exist!
