As a founding member since 1967, APHA continues to actively contribute and participate as one of the key members of the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA).  The WFPHA is recognized as an NGO in official relations status with the World Health Organization (WHO) which allows APHA access to the World Health Assembly as well as other UN agencies including UNICEF and the Economic and Social Council of the UN. The WFPHA’s World Congress on Public Health, traditionally organized every three years, is a scientific conference for public health professionals from around the world.  As such, the WFPHA and the Indian Public Health Association welcomes global development experts to gather at the Congress to share ideas, experiences, and research.  The event will not only serve as a venue for an international exchange of knowledge and best practices but also highlight public health within the SEARO region.  Stay tuned for the call for abstracts to open soon.
