  Providing or Approving Program Activity

APHA welcomes this opportunity to collaborate for the benefit

of our many public health professionals who seek life-long learning

Welcome to working with APHA for the purpose of awarding CE credits to the participating learners during your Program/Activity. APHA is accredited for health education and medicine*, and, for nursing the accreditation has been given jointly to APHA and its Public Health Nursing (PHN) Section.

Providing CE credits is a process that requires documentation.  APHA has simplified the process by developing a set of files that offer explanations and forms.

Please start by downloading and completing the Information Sheet and emailing it to annette.ferebee@apha.org.  APHA will contact you to confirm your eligibility and will email the full CE Application Packet.

APHA will review these documents for compliance with the CE requirements and send a notice of APPROVAL for CE.  Your organization must have a written notice of final acceptance by APHA before the day of the program/activity in order for APHA to award CE credits.

APHA offers technical and expert assistance.  Please contact us if you have questions or want additional information.

Please contact learning-profedevl@apha.org or Annette Ferebee,  Manager for Learning & Professional Development Programs at (202) 777-2521,  annette.ferebee@apha.org if you have any questions or need additional information.

* ANCC recognizes the term "co-providing" to denote an accredited provider working with a non-accredited provider to offer continuing education credits, whereas ACCME uses the term joint sponsorship to denote the same relationship.
