Online Continuing Education Program

APHA Online Continuing Education Program Opportunities

APHA’s Center for Professional Development is pleased to announce its first offering of continuing education credits through its Online Continuing Education Program. For a minimal fee, public health practitioners can earn continuing education credits offered for selected activities. Credits can be earned by physicians (CME), nurses (CNE), health educators (CHES/MCHES), public health practitioners (CPH) and other professionals (CME for non-physicians) by listening to the recordings, passing the quiz and completing an evaluation.  

Additional opportunities to earn continuing education credit through the new online program are scheduled for 2013.

Expected offerings include selected 2012 APHA Annual Meeting scientific sessions, APHA webinars and APHA-developed workshops. 

Types of Credits Offered

CHES - Certified Health Education Specialist
CME -   Continuing Medical Education
CNE -   Continuing Nursing Education
CPH -   Certified in Public Health
OP -     Other Professional -
(check with your licensing or certification board to see if they accept CME for Non-Physician credits)

APHA's Online CE Program is based on the honor system. You should earn credit based on your participation.
