2008 APHA Pre-Convention Learning Institute Courses

APHA Learning Institute courses are half or full-day courses that provide an in-depth learning experience in the latest public health trends and topics. The APHA-LI courses will be held on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, 2008.

To attend the APHA-LI courses, a separate registration fee is required. For an additional $50, participants can receive CME, CNE or CHES continuing education credits for attending these courses.

* Space is limited to the first 25 registrants. Registrants must bring a laptop computer with a wireless card. Please check your computer BEFORE registering for these courses. Computers will not be available on site for use or rental.
** Space is limited to the first 50 registrants. Participants MUST bring a PC platform laptop with 1GHz, 512 MB of RAM capacity with Windows 2000, XP or Vista operating system, and 1.2 GB of free disk space to run the CD-ROM that will be provided. Participants are required to install software and must have administrator privileges. An external mouse is highly recommended. Check your computer BEFORE registering for this course. Computers will not be available on site for use or rental. 
*** Attendance at both Saturday and Sunday's sessions is mandatory because material presented on Saturday will be used for activities on Sunday.
^ These all day institutes will break from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for the Opening General Session.
