At a Glance: Public Health Policy Activities & Training in State & Local Health Departments
APHA developed this short summary of 16 state and local health departments' public health policy and policy training activities and compiled a list of organizations that provide public health policy training.
Performance Measurement for Public Health Policy
APHA and the Public Health Foundation (PHF) have worked collaboratively to develop a new tool to help health departments and their partners assess and improve the performance of their policy activities. While other performance measurement and evaluation guides exist, this is the first tool to focus explicitly on performance measurement for public health policy.
Webinars
APHA is hosting a series of webinars aimed at improving the capacity of state, tribal, local or territorial health departments to use policy as a tool to improve population health.
