Public Health Programs & Initiatives

APHA promotes evidence-based public health practice and policy throughout the Association. We conduct our work primarily by competing for and managing scientific grants and cooperative agreements; and managing several grant programs.  We address the following areas (not necessarily in order of priority): Public Health Infrastructure; Maternal and Child Health; Traffic Safety;  Obesity; HIV/AIDS; and Tobacco Control for Youth.
