APHA has found that the continuing education component of its Annual Meeting is compliant with the accreditation criteria of each of the following accrediting bodies. Accreditation Statements


Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES® & MCHES®) - The American Public Health Association is accredited by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., to sponsor continuing education for Certified Health Education Specialists and Master Certified Health Education Specialists.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) - The American Public Health Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement:  APHA designated this educational activity for a maximum of 31.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM .  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Note: The number of maximum credit hours are subject to change.

Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) - The APHA/PHN Section is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Certified in Public Health (CPH) - APHA is an approved provider of Certified in Public Health Continuing Education Credit (CPHCE) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
