Plans after school: Upon completion of my MPH in Epidemiology, I plan to transition into a doctoral program in Global Health focusing on infectious disease. Additionally, I want to continue working in a leadership capacity for Nepal Public Health Network and focus on implementing different collaborating processes among public health organizations, academes, and health care professionals of Nepal and abroad.
Personal Statement about APHA-SA: I have always been looking for avenues to become more involved within public health community. When I first heard about APHA-SA and group of students like myself working together to make a difference in the field of public health, I immediately became a member of this largest student led organization. My first involvement as an APHA-SA Campus Liaison for UConn Health Center greatly helped me to learn more about the organization and public health field as a whole. My interest to get involved in the APHA-SA grew even more after that experience. I am really excited to serve APHA-SA as a Website Committee Co-chair. In the future, I wish to actively involve with the APHA-SA and bring a positive impact with in the group.
