Plans after school: After graduation, I plan to further my education in a doctoral program emphasizing Health Policy. I would like to practice public health at the federal level within the United States, as well as, work internationally.

Personal Statement about APHA-SA:  After hearing from other students about the APHA Annual Meeting, I was eager to attend. I quickly registered for the meeting and, simultaneously, became a member of APHA-SA. I didn't realize what this meant until I received an email about getting more involved. The opportunity to become a Membership Ambassador sparked my interest, so I applied and was accepted into that role. Later, when a call went out for committee chairs, I thought, "Well, I'm already doing this much. I can do more!" So, I applied. During the APHA Annual Meeting, I attended student meetings and introduced myself to board members. I had no idea when I first registered for the Annual Meeting that there was this great student organization inside APHA. Being the Membership Co-Chair is a great opportunity for me to reach out to those who are not yet involved in APHA-SA or maybe not even a member, yet, and encourage them to get involved. From personal development to networking, APHA-SA has so much to offer all of its members. I love the challenge to find ways to recruit new members and I am excited and enthusiastic for the upcoming year!
