Personal Statement about APHA-SA: With so many public health issues present and not enough awareness of what can be done, APHA is creating momentum by bringing public health professionals together to target key issues. My role as Advancement Committee Co-Chair allows me to connect students with career and personal development opportunities aiming to strengthen the Student Assembly's involvement with the community. I was first attracted to APHA-SA by the tremendous teamwork of the E-board, despite the fact that the members are spread all over the country. I am proud and honored to work with an E-board that is devoted to the improvement of public health and the advancement of upcoming professionals in the field.
