Involvement in APHA-SA:  Mentoring Committee Co-Chair (2010-2011)

Practice/Research Interests: Intimate partner violence and health information technology

Other Leadership Activities: Co-Director of Penn Public Health Society (2010-2011), Student Representative of the Advisory Committee for the University of Pennsylvania MPH program (2009-2010), and Albert Schweitzer Fellow (2009-2010).

Plans after school: N/A (I graduated in December of 2010). I currently work for the Public Health Management Corporation (a subcontractor to the Regional Extension Center in Pennsylvania) to help health care providers adopt and implement electronic health records (EHRs). My job is to provide technical assistance to providers to help them achieve meaningful use and assist in every aspect of an EHR implementation. I am extremely interested in the utilization of health information technology to enhance the quality of care delivered. In addition, I am also the Teaching Assistant for a master of public health course at the University of Pennsylvania.
