Plans after school: After completing my doctoral degree, I plan to operate a community center and work as a researcher and health educator to reduce health disparities.
Personal Statement about APHA-SA: After attending my first APHA conference, I was fascinated by the role of the student assembly. I knew that I wanted to be a part of this amazing group and work with other students who share my passion for public health. I enjoy partnering and collaborating with communities to promote public health. Becoming a member and assuming a leadership role within the student assembly will improve my skills to assist communities that I work with. I look forward to interacting and learning from my fellow members and serving as committee chair for National Public Health Week.
