Plans after school: I intend on continuing work in public health statistics at the federal or state level and teaching at the collegiate level.

Personal Statement about APHA-SA: Since I first began graduate work in the Institute of Public Health, I have been encouraged to take a leadership role among students. Once I became an officer in local and state public health organizations, the next logical step was to get involved at the national level. After joining APHA and attending national conferences, I saw firsthand how involved students were in the success of the conferences; I knew then that becoming active in the Student Assembly would be ideal for meeting and networking with other public health students and young emerging public health professionals from different universities, backgrounds, and countries.

As Secretary, I know that to keep APHA-SA running smoothly, it is necessary to adhere to the established protocol and reporting procedures. I look forward to fulfilling my specified duties as well as assisting other officers, committee members, and students in any capacity necessary during my tenure as Secretary. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
