Plans after school:
In the spring I will be graduating with a BS from the University of New Mexico. After that I plan to pursue a MPH with emphasis on Health Policy followed with an MD program.

Personal Statement about APHA-SA:
I first became involved in APHA-SA by joining the Programming Committee. I learned very quickly that all the members of APHA-SA are very passionate about increasing awareness of public health issues among their peers. This motivated me to become more involved within this organization and to help others learn from me. I feel like I have a very unique opportunity to be a part of such a dynamic group of students. It is my hope that through the my involvement in the Student Assembly  that I will be able to provide leadership and motivation to other students across the country that are interested in public health. I want students to realize how important their role is in the public health field and how big of a difference they can make as students! I have been involved with APHA for over 5 years and want to share my experiences with other students! Contact me if you are interested in learning how to become more involved in APHA!
