Practice/Research Interests: Epidemiologic research of genes influencing disease risk. I am especial interested in epidemiology research to help improve the health outcome of Native Americans and Native Hawaiians. I believe that genomic will be instrumental in the development of cost effective personalized prevention programs that reduce early mortality and morbidity. I am also interested in participatory research on reducing sexually transmitted disease in at vulnerable populations. I am promoting public health awareness and education publishing with web writers of examiner.com as the infectious disease examiner. Since the web offers a great opportunity to communicate nationally and globally, I am working with other epidemiology students to help in promoting epidemiology awareness by sharing APHA epidemiology section activities via facebook and twitter.

Plans after school:I would like to get further involve in research on common variants in the general population influence risk of disease in vulnerable populations groups.
